Atomic Heart release date trailer confirms February 2023 launch

Atomic Heart, the upcoming bloody shooter full of mutants and robots, has just revealed a brand-new trailer that officially confirms recent launch rumors and leaks. The game will be available on February 21st, 2023, and it’ll be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series S|X, and Xbox One.

The trailer also added that it will be available on Game Pass, and pre-orders are available now. You can watch the full trailer on Atomic Heart’s YouTube channel here:

Hopefully, the game turns out to be as much of a wild ride as today’s trailer, which cleverly represented the action and chaos that fans are expecting by keeping most of the footage in fast-forward. The music was also spot-on, yet simple, effectively tying in with little moments.

Despite all of the spectacle, there’s an indie attitude with Atomic Heart that will make a big impression with graphics like this. The art design is pretty unique, which can be challenging to find in this sub-genre of robotic mayhem. There are elements of horror in all of the enemy designs, which is a huge plus for the tone, which feels like a Sam Raimi approach in the best way.

Somehow, the trailer promises that this game will successfully toe the line between traditional action fare with unpredictability, which would be a winning combination. The game is coming to Game Pass, so Xbox subscribers should definitely enjoy trying something like this for free.

Barely founded in 2017, the international team of developers at Mundfish are going to make a big leap forward with this title. They have a clear vision, and it’ll be very interesting to see how they expand. Publisher Focus Entertainment makes a perfect fit, as they move into other slick, bloody titles like Evil West or Blacktail.
