The Game Awards 2022 are here to recognize several games that have been released over the year and to reveal the release dates of games arriving next year. Fresh off The Game Awards, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon was shown off for the first time alongside an announcement of its release date.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is an upcoming Bayonetta spin-off title scheduled for release on March 17th, 2023. This game turns back the pages of the Umbra Witch’s story to learn where it all began. Players will take play as Cereza with her first demon Cheshire to fend off faeries and solve puzzles. The images of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon give the impression that they were taken straight from a children’s book of fairy tales. It tells the narrative of Cereza as a young girl, who, in an effort to rescue her mother, ventures into a forbidden forest and comes face to face with an evil monster.

There is still little information available about Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon at this time. The news that The Game Awards will be the venue for the announcement of a new Bayonetta game also came as a surprise to fans. It was also revealed in the announcement trailer for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon that the game would be available for pre-order at this time, however, it does not appear to be on the Nintendo eShop as of now.

In any event, Nintendo and PlatinumGames are most likely gearing up to release additional Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon teasers in anticipation of the game’s release in the year 2023.
