Dead Space is a science fiction/horror media franchise originally developed by Visceral Games, and published and owned by Electronic Arts. Back in July 2021, EA’s Play Live event confirmed that Motive Studio would remake the 2008 Dead Space video game, with an anticipated release date of late 2022. Recently, EA’s Motive Studio announced that Dead Space has gone gold, confirming that there is no longer any pushback to its January release. The sci-fi survival-horror classic will finally return after being rebuilt from the bottom up to give a deeper, more immersive experience, generating even greater enthusiasm among fans. Just like the 2008 Dead Space, the remake version’s story follow Isaac Clarke, an everyman engineer sent on a mission to repair a massive mining ship, the USG Ishimura, only to find that something has gone wrong. Mutated human corpses assault the crew of the vessel as they investigate a distress signal issued by the ship’s medical officer, Nicole Brennan. Isaac is left to fend for himself as he attempts to rescue his remaining crewmates and discover the truth about the Ishimura’s destruction.
