Hidetaka Miyazaki, the director of Elden Ring, earned an award from the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Sector of Japan for his contribution to the growth of the country’s gaming industry. During his remarks, Miyazaki expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all of the fans of Elden Ring.
Elden Ring has garnered widespread recognition owing to the impressive visuals it offers, the quality of the narrative it presents, and, most significantly, the difficulty and excitement of its gameplay elements. By the end of March 2022, it had sold around 13.4 million copies all over the globe, and by the end of June 2022, it had sold 16.6 million copies. Furthermore, it was the top-selling game in several regions between February and March 2022 and is the fastest-selling Bandai Namco game of all time.
Elden Ring also received the Awards of Excellence along with nine other titles such as Resident Evil Village, Sky: Children of the Light, Tales of Arise, Lost Judgment, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Horizon Forbidden West, Ghostwire: Tokyo and Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Fans have been wondering whether or not Elden Ring will be recognized as the Game of the Year at the upcoming The Game Awards 2022, in light of the prestigious award that has been presented to the developer and publisher of Elden Ring. Regardless, fans have great expectations for what FromSoftware may offer in the future, with Elden Ring now serving as its gold standard in game development.
