New Pokémon, Ceruledge, introduced as part of Pokémon Violet

Nintendo’s upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have exciting features to offer, including new Pokémons!

Previously, Nintendo announced the release date of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on November November 18, 2022. The new Pokémon titles were developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch. In February 2022, it was revealed that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are the first installments in the ninth generation of the Pokémon video game series. Apart from a new Pokémon gameplay experience, these titles will introduce new Pokémons players may encounter as they explore the Paldea region.

Nintendo just recently announced the addition of a new Pokémon, named Ceruledge, in Pokémon Violet. Ceruledge is armed with swords made of fire and ghost energy, as well as an old set of armor. It is willing to use any strategy, including stealth and ambush attack, in order to achieve its goal of victory. Visit the Pokémon page of the official website for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, to get a detailed description of Ceruledge’s abilities.

Ceruledge loves close-quarters battles and is not above resorting to strategies like sneak attacks and surprise assaults. It then quickly closes the gap to its opponent and slashes them with its huge blades, taking advantage of the blind areas created by its opponent as a result of its fast movements.

Ceruledge also performs Bitter Blade, a Fire-type physical move that gathers the lingering regrets of the fallen into Ceruledge’s swords, allowing it to focus that bitterness into a slashing attack. Afterward, the swords absorb life energy from damage caused, restoring some of the user’s health by up to half of the damage inflicted on the target.

Along with Ceruledge, two other new Pokémons were announced, namely Armarouge and Klawf. Apart from new Pokémons, Scarlet and Violet will introduce the Terastallizing feature, bringing an elevated battle mechanics to players.
