Sea of Thieves, a first-person perspective action-adventure game developed by Rare and published by Microsoft Studios is almost ready for its Season Eight. As such, more and more details about the new season are being revealed. Return of the Damned is the ninth Adventure in Sea of Thieves and the second to feature a branching story wherein the community’s choice will have long-lasting consequences. In this live event, players will be choosing between siding with Belle and bringing back Pendragon whilst preventing Flameheart’s resurrection or siding with The Servant of the Flame and bringing back Flameheart whilst dooming Pendragon to be marooned in the Sea of the Damned where not even Belle can save him.
The Return of the Damned live event began on November 3rd. Tomorrow, November 17 at 10:00 AM UTC, the live event will conclude. The ninth Sea of Thieves Adventure, dubbed The Rogue’s Legacy, will begin on December 8 and conclude on December 22.
In the meanwhile, Sea of Thieves has a new origins comic book in the works. Beginning in April 2019, Titan Comics published a comic book series written by Jeremy Whitley, focusing on the origins of Sea of Thieves. It contains the histories of various famous Sea of Thieves characters. The last edition was out on September 17, 2021. Now, a new issue will be released, titled ‘The Servant’s tale, which will cover the story of how the Servant of the Flame became an intimidating masked character and how he came to lead the Reaper’s Bones.
