Session: Skate Sim reveals new skaters

The upcoming Session: Skate Sim introduced new skaters ahead of its release!

Session: Skate Sim is the upcoming sports video game developed by Montreal-based independent developer, Crea-ture Studios, and published by Nacon. It was regarded as the spiritual successor of the Skate series. On September 22, 2022, Session will be made available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Session: Skate Sim was first conceptualized in 2015. Over the next two years, several skateboarding enthusiasts and media outlets expressed a strong desire for a brand new video game in the genre. The developer Marc-Andre Houde cited his enthusiasm for the sport as the driving force for the creation of the game. At the beginning of November 2017, Crea-ture Studios made the Session free demo available to download. The indie video game team, later on, opened the project on Kickstarter, which successfully reached its initial goal after three days. During the Microsoft conference held at E3 2018, a trailer for Session was shown to the public for the first time.

Session was made available on Steam Early Access on September 17, 2019, and on Xbox Game Preview on June 17, 2020. The early access has given fans of the Skate franchise a preview of not just the visuals but also the hyper-realistic physics of Session, which has resulted in anticipation on their part. New features are always being added in preparation for the release of Session, even though the game is now very close to its debut date.

Session: Skater Sim will feature a roster of 16 skaters, all of whom may be encountered by the player throughout the course of the game. Just recently, Nacon introduces four new skaters – Torey PudwillNora VasconsellosSamarria Brevard, and Ryan Thompson. These skaters will enter the fray, bringing with them their own code of ethics, sense of style, and motivations for going on the board. Players have the option of creating their own characters or taking on the role of skaters and defining their styles with hundreds of different pieces of gear sourced from official skateboarding brands.
