The Japanese illustrated manga series “The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague” will finally have its anime adaptation set to premiere in 2023!
The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague, otherwise known as Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi, is written and illustrated by Miyuki Tonogaya. In July 2019, it began serialization on the Gangan Pixiv manga website operated by Square Enix. The individual chapters from the manga series have been compiled into a total of six volumes.
Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi is a “Josei supernatural romantic comedy” manga series that follows the story of Himuro, an office worker and a descendant of a race of supernatural beings, and Fuyutsuki, a colleague of Himuro who is seen as a cool woman. Himuro suffers from an unusual power that freezes anything that comes close to him and summons a blizzard whenever he gets too anxious. Himuro secretly fell in love with Fuyutsuki, but she was too dense to comprehend the extent of Himuro’s feelings for her.
On June 21, 2022, it was officially announced that an anime adaptation of Miyuki Tonogaya’s josei manga series would be produced by Zero-G and Liber animation studio and directed by Mankyū. Voice actor Chiaki Kobayashi is cast for the role of Himuro, while Yui Ishikawa takes on the role of Fuyutsuki.
Recently, it was formally revealed that the anime adaptation of “The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague” would premiere in 2023, although no particular dates have yet been provided.
