Xbox Game Pass leak teases Immortals Fenyx Rising

Immortals Fenyx Rising could be joining the Xbox Game Pass sometime soon, according to recent leaks. The Ubisoft game released back in December of 2020, so the timing would definitely line up.

According to a new tweet, it looks like @ALumia_Italia may have discovered a file name for the title:

They also suggests that the game won’t be exclusive to the PC, despite their post. Although Immortals Fenyx Rising is practically a Zelda clone, many of its core gameplay mechanics and designs were met with praise.

It marked a decision from Ubisoft to double down on Greek mythology after the success of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. However, fans of the Creed title were somewhat disappointed by the quirky sense of humor, even if that tone was helpful in creating a more distinguishable game.

This would be a pretty high-budget title to enter the Game Pass, with a perfect balance of popularity and obscurity. This sleeper hit has become somewhat overlooked over time, so players aren’t as likely to already own the game.

That’s an issue that PlayStation just ran into headfirst with their new August lineup, which just earlier today announced Little Nightmares, Yakuza Like a Dragon and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is an open-world action game that focuses on all of the fantasy elements in Greek mythology. Players assume the role of Fenyx, who must rescue their brother and stop Typhon, a monster that escaped the underworld (and closely resembles the Balrog from Lord of the Rings).

The official Xbox Game Pass feed hasn’t posted anything since the 21st, when they announced Torment, MotoGP 22 and Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion:

There’s still no clear release date after the leak, but keep an eye out for an official announcement, since new games are added every month. You can read more about Xbox, the Game Pass service and more by checking out the rest of our news section!
